What is special about us?
The Burwood Uniting Church is a fresh and welcoming church community, worshiping in a gentle and affirming reformation tradition with a mixture of contemporary and older songs, an occassional band, and sharing personal journeys of life and faith. The congregation is well supported by lay leadership, creative liturgies and interactive worship styles.
We have regular opportunities to engage faith-seekers through personal contact, prayer groups and Bible study groups.
Social justice and community outreach are also priorities of our community. We have our regular weekday drop-in centre operating all year round, called Barry's Place which is open to anyone looking for company, a friendly chat or a place to spend some time.
The Burwood Uniting Church physically supports asylum seekers through housing, and is a general supporter of indigenous peoples and broader issues of justice.
